Sheesham is a hard wood, part of the rosewood family, which is solid and durable, grown in Indian-managed plantations. The sheesham is seasoned in kilns for 15 days to remove any moisture it may have. It is then chemically treated to protect it from woodworm and other pests. No two pieces are exactly alike in shade or texture - there may be variations that are a part of the uniqueness of this furniture. Each piece is finished in a light brown stain and then laquered , waxed and buffed leaving a natural finish
